👋 Intro
Hi there!
Welcome to the June edition of The Money Minute.
Summer is here, and so are the expenses that come with it.
Travel. Camps. Weddings. More eating out. More last-minute plans.
This is usually the time of year when people stop paying attention to their money because life gets busier. Then September shows up with credit card balances and stress that built quietly over the summer.
June is a good time to stay intentional before things speed up.
You don’t need to cut out every fun plan. You just need to know what you can comfortably afford before the spending happens.
This month’s edition is focused on staying ahead of summer spending, simplifying your finances, and making a few smart decisions now that your future self will appreciate later.
If you want help building a financial plan that works during real life like vacations, busy schedules, unexpected expenses and all, book your free strategy session with me here.

Hello summer doesn’t need to mean goodbye savings!

✅ June’s Money Tips
Create a Summer Spending Number
Most people budget monthly. Summer spending works better with a seasonal number.
Look ahead at the next 2–3 months and estimate:
Travel
Camps or childcare
Weddings and gifts
Eating out
Entertainment and activities
Then decide what total amount feels reasonable.
Now you have a target.
Without a number, every expense feels random. With a number, you can spend more confidently because you already planned for it.
A little planning now makes summer feel a lot less stressful later.
Watch the Small Upgrades
Summer spending usually does not explode all at once.
It happens in upgrades.
Dinner becomes dinner and drinks.
A weekend trip becomes a luxury hotel.
One concert turns into tickets, parking, food, and merch.
Small upgrades add up fast because they feel justified in the moment.
Before spending, pause and ask:
Would I still enjoy this if I spent a little less?
Am I paying for the experience or just upgrading automatically?
Will this matter to me a month from now?
You do not have to choose the cheapest option every time. Just make the expensive choice on purpose.
💡 Special Update
Summer tends to expose weak spots in a financial plan very quickly.
A lot of people do fine during structured months, then feel like they are constantly reacting once schedules change and spending increases.
If that sounds familiar, this is a great time to tighten things up before the second half of the year.
I currently have a few openings for 1:1 coaching this month. If you want help creating a plan that feels realistic, flexible, and sustainable, reply to this email or book a free strategy session here.
🧠 Money Mindset
Financial Confidence Comes From Repetition
A lot of people think confidence comes first.
It usually comes later.
Confidence with money is built the same way confidence is built anywhere else: through repetition.
Checking your accounts regularly.
Following through on small goals.
Making decisions instead of avoiding them.
Most financially confident people were not born organized or disciplined. They practiced a few habits long enough that those habits started to feel normal.
That is why consistency matters more than intensity.
Try this:
Pick one financial habit and repeat it every week this month. Here are some options:
Review your spending every Sunday
Transfer money to savings every payday
Check your credit card balance before the weekend
Keep it simple enough that you will actually do it.
Confidence grows when you keep showing yourself that you can follow through.
